Who covers your machine
Every machine we sell is new, in the manufacturer's crate, and covered by that manufacturer's written limited warranty. Shop Made Supply doesn't add a warranty of its own and doesn't do in-house repair. What we do is get you the right machine, make sure it arrives in one piece, and point you to the right service path if something goes wrong.
Manufacturer warranties generally apply when the machine is bought through an authorized dealer. We only list brands we're approved to sell, and we say so on each product page.
Read the warranty before you buy
Each manufacturer publishes its warranty terms. Here are the ones for the brands we carry. If you'd like a copy of any warranty emailed to you before you order, ask at team@shopmadesupply.com and we'll send it free of charge.
- Miller Electric: True Blue limited warranty, generally 3 years parts and labor on the power source, with shorter terms on guns, torches and accessories. Miller warranty
- Hypertherm: Powermax systems carry a 3-year power supply and 1-year torch warranty. Hypertherm warranty
- JET: JET limited warranty by product line, typically 2 to 5 years on metalworking machines. JET warranty statement
- Baileigh Industrial: Baileigh limited warranty, typically 1 year on machines. Baileigh warranty statement
- Dake: 1-year limited warranty on materials and workmanship. Contact Dake or us for the current terms.
- Ellis Manufacturing: 1-year limited warranty. Ellis warranty and registration
- Hougen: limited warranty on magnetic drills and cutters. Hougen warranty
- Burr King: 1 year on materials and workmanship.
- Woodward Fab: 1-year limited warranty, as published by the manufacturer.
The manufacturer's current written warranty controls. If the summary above and the manufacturer's document ever disagree, the manufacturer's document wins.
How a warranty claim works
- Email us at team@shopmadesupply.com with your order number, the serial number, a description of the problem and, if you can, photos or a short video. In the first 7 days after delivery we treat it as a defective-on-arrival case and push hard for a fast fix.
- We open the claim with the manufacturer and get you to the right place: a parts shipment, an authorized service center near you, or a replacement. Most welding brands have a nationwide network of authorized service shops; we'll find the closest one.
- Shipping a machine to a service center, when that's required, follows the manufacturer's warranty terms. Some cover it; some don't.
Register your machine with the manufacturer when it arrives. Several brands shorten or void coverage for unregistered machines.
What's not covered
Each warranty lists its own exclusions, but they all come down to the same things: wear parts and consumables (contact tips, nozzles, electrodes, drive rolls, liners, belts, blades), damage from misuse, modification, wrong input power, lack of maintenance, or repair by someone who isn't authorized, and cosmetic wear. Shipping damage isn't a warranty matter; it's a freight claim, and we handle it if you report it within 48 hours of delivery (see the Shipping policy).
Legal notes
Shop Made Supply sells products with the manufacturer's warranty only. To the extent permitted by law, we make no other warranty, express or implied, including any implied warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose. Some states don't allow limits on implied warranties, so this may not apply to you. Machines bought for business use are commercial purchases; consumer protections written for household goods may not apply to them. Nothing here reduces what the manufacturer's warranty gives you.
